Cognify

Cognify is the AI-powered analytics engine at the heart of iDataWorkers. It goes beyond traditional dashboards — Cognify automatically surfaces patterns, detects anomalies, and generates insights from your unified data, so you spend less time building reports and more time making decisions.

How Cognify Works

Cognify connects to your data through Data Hub and continuously analyzes it using machine learning models. It operates in three modes:

  • Auto-insights — Cognify runs in the background, surfacing trends and anomalies you might miss
  • Interactive analysis — Build custom views with drag-and-drop, apply filters, and drill down into details
  • Natural language — Ask questions in plain English and get visual answers with explanations

Creating Dashboards

Cognify dashboards combine multiple visualizations into a single view:

  1. Click New Dashboard from the Cognify home screen
  2. Choose a layout template or start from scratch
  3. Add widgets — line charts, bar charts, pie charts, tables, KPI cards, heatmaps
  4. Connect each widget to a data source and configure the metrics
  5. Apply global filters (date range, department, region) that affect all widgets
  6. Save and share with your team

Natural Language Queries

Type a question in the Cognify search bar — for example:

  • "What is our revenue trend over the last 12 months?"
  • "Compare Q1 vs Q2 performance by region"
  • "Which products have the highest return rate?"

Cognify interprets the question, identifies the relevant data, runs the analysis, and presents the results with a clear explanation of what it found and why it matters.

Alerts & Anomaly Detection

Stay ahead of issues with proactive monitoring:

  • Threshold alerts — Set upper/lower bounds on any metric and get notified when they are crossed
  • Anomaly detection — AI automatically flags unusual patterns that deviate from historical norms
  • Scheduled reports — Receive automated summaries via email on a daily, weekly, or monthly cadence
  • Notification channels — Alerts can go to email, Slack, or webhook endpoints

Sharing & Collaboration

  • Share dashboards with specific team members or make them org-wide
  • Export visualizations as PDF, PNG, or CSV
  • Embed dashboards in external tools or presentations
  • Add comments and annotations to highlight key findings

Best Practices

  • Start with auto-insights to discover what is interesting in your data before building custom views
  • Use global filters on dashboards so viewers can explore different slices without editing
  • Set up anomaly alerts on your most critical KPIs for early warning
  • Combine Cognify with Copilot Dexi for ad-hoc exploration alongside structured dashboards
